Inspiration

July 11, Monday, I entered the four walls of Landayan Elementary school and do my usual routine. Never did I thought that something happened a day before.
July 10, Sunday, Koreans and Filipino doctors set a medical mission in the school. I was supposed to be there but due to heavy rains and streets are quiet flooded I wasn't able to make it to the mission. But no one would ever thought that it would also be the day that someone will leave us early and join our creator above.
Mac Kevin Galisim, a grade six pupil succumbed to asthma at the age of 11. not so long ago I as far as I can remember I had the same experience a former student of mine named Shaira died also at the same age another one named Kim died a year after. I cant imagine that I have to be in this situation again.
Mac Kevin or Galisim as what we call him was a cheerful person. He always manage to wear a smile. He was a good son , a dear friend and of course a fun kid to be with. He was a great boy scout. And who would have thought he is sick with asthma because he was so full of glee.
The last time I saw him was when I was on my way to my tutorial class about a week ago. He smiled at me and I smile back and went on my way. Who would have thought that would be the last time that we would see him smile. Its always a big question why people die young. Where they great as a person or maybe God just don't want them to suffer more. As for Kevin he was gone to soon, young as he was supposed to enjoying his life as kid but it was cut short.
Asthma is indeed a silent killer, I had asthma when I was young. I had occasional attack but nothing major. I have been watchful of what I eat now and of course my lifestyle. Medicine prices are soaring high not everyone could afford to buy them. Especially for a sickness that really needs more attention.
I'm thankful that Kevin was gone now, at least he's safe from all the miseries of this world . He's now relieved with all the odds that we still have to face here in earth. I'm glad that he is now over the heavens singing with the choirs of angels, watching and guiding us to find our true path of life. Kevin will surely be missed but he's now happy. Kevin, thank you for the time and laughter you have shared with us. It was a worthwhile experience.
For now, your gone and finally rested but its not good bye, soon we will see each other again, you were just taken ahead of us, all I can say now is just SEE YOU LATER...
